The Obstetrics and Gynaecology ward helps women get ready for childbirth and carries out antenatal screening, analyses, and diagnoses, in order to make sure the baby is developing well. our midwives and doctors  follows mothers-to-be during antenatal classes. Epidural analgesia in childbirth is guaranteed for mothers 24/7 and the child will be born under the best care and safety conditions, as the hospital has one of the top neonatal care units in the country.

Professor Bentivoglio, Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Professor Ramenghi, Head of Neonatal Special Care, underline the importance of collaboration between their two units, especially when complications arise for newborns.

After the birth, the mother and her baby will be together and mothers are encouraged to let their baby latch on to her breast immediately.
